NATURE 大自然
Soil and Pottery
Looking around the city that we are living in, the rapid urban development deprives our beautiful nature and damaged our environment. Soil, as a member of the nature, is chosen by the artists to make ceramics artwork, so that the artwork can awake the people to the importance of nature. At the same time, it reminds people to look at their positions and responsibilities in the natural environment.

Fiona, Wong Lai Ching:
Nature admiring artist
Wong works mostly with nature theme. Using soil as the basic element, she makes it into mud tiles and designs into different things in nature such as leaves, birds, feathers and flowers. Wong attaches great importance in the structure of the arrangement works and patchwork components because it reflects the law of nature. Wong believes that people living in a stressful life under the busy city are physically and mentally fatigued. She encourages people to leave the hustle and bustle of the city and return to the serenity of nature.
